Noelle Wenceslao

25 years old, is one of the three women members of the First Philippine Mount Everest Expedition and the youngest member of the team. An alumna of Poveda Learning Centre (Batch 1998), she graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. She is a member of the UP Dragonboat Team, the UP Mountaineers and the UP Marine Biological Society. Noelle is an avid fan of adventure racing, and has been racing since 1999. She has raced with her fellow Everest Team members in three to four-day races in such places as Biliran Island, Siargao Island, Mindoro and Camotes Islands. Her teammates and herself have also participated in adventure races in Hong Kong, Kanchanaburi, Thailand and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Her first love is Dragonboat Paddling, and she has raced with her teammates in Ayutthaya, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, China and Australia. Noelle is now preparing for upcoming dragonboat and adventure races and most especially for the Everest Team’s tropical and Himalayan Expeditions in the coming months.
